Project partners ACIF-CCIM under the CAPITEN Project, funded by Espaço Interreg Atlântico, in partnership with On Water Academy, Porto Santo Line, Clube Naval do Funchal e Clube Naval do Porto Santo hosted a fantastic new event called CAPITEN Day on 16th August 2019 in the Porto Santo Island of Portugal, in order to provide several nautical activities to the people who were in the beach.
The idea of this activity was to allow people to try one of the following activities for free: stand up paddle surfing, kayaking and sailing. These experiences, monitored by the OWA Company and the Porto Santo Naval Club, took place from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm on one of the island’s most popular beaches.
It was a fantastic day, with lots of sun and wind, and many children and adults were able to try some of these activities. For most of them, it was the first experience. On the same day, at evening, we held a party with the participants of nautical activities and the regatta sailors that took place these days, between Madeira and Porto Santo.
OWA – On Water Academy is a local company, who offer truly stunning nautical experiences on Porto Santo Island.
